El Campesino, was established in 1997, by two brothers Salvador and Carlos Guzman. They were born in Mexico in the state of Guanajuato. Both brothers had dreams of coming to the United States with the hope of one day owning their own business.
The State on Guanajuato is one of the 32 states with more ethics from their federation of Mexico and is located in the region central of the national territory. The city of Guanajuato, is famous for its history, architecture, its mummies, firewoods and sweets, the international festival of Cervantino that is celebrated in the month of October.
For many years, the Guzman brothers, Salvador and Carlos, Dreamed of someday owning warm and friendly restaurants that would serve authentic Mexican food and bring enjoyment to their patrons. Having grown up in beautiful Guanajuato, Mexico, the young Guzmans learned the art of preparing satisfying and flavorfyl meals from their mother. Who lovingly cooked for 10 children by herself, after the early passing of Mr. Guzman.
Wich occurred when carlos, the youngest child, was just a baby. in 1997 the Guzman brothers' dream came true with the opening El Campesino Restaurante in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Over the years, customers have come to love the food and service at El Campesino, as well as Dawsonville and Cleveland, Georgia. We hope the food and setting ar El Campesino makes you very comfortable and reminds you of the favorite things you enjoyed at the family table from your childhood. Our goal is to perserve the traditions of homemade cooking the way Mama and Grandma used to do it. And that you find everything to be muy delicioso!
